Boys Captain's

Congratulations to Erik Kopff, Knute Armstrong, Matt Pasquali, and Brien Miceli for being named the Boys Cross Country Captain's for the upcoming season.  Captain selection is based on votes from the XC team, submission of a letter of interest, and Coach's deliberation.

Captain's Letter

All:

Captain's letters are due by December 19th.  If you are interested in being a Captain for the upcoming Cross Country Season, you need to deliver your letter to Coach Kosier (girls), or Coach Wright (boys) prior to the 19th.  Late letters (out of fairness to all) will not be accepted.

Wow, thank you to all the parents and athletes of Cross Country!  What an incredible season, and amazing banquet!  I was happy to see so many athletes and families in attendance...you make it worth it!  Enjoy the holiday season, watch for food bank volunteer dates and we'll see you in 2012...

Banquet!!!

The Cross Country banquet will be held at noon on Saturday, December 3 in the LGI of the high school. The Booster Club will be providing the entrees for this event.  Please see the tentative menu (buffet style) below. 

We are also looking for people who would be willing to donate an item(s) as a raffle prize. It can be anything you think would be fun, whimsical and something the runners would enjoy. It's up to you! If you can donate something, please let me know.

We are asking families to provide the following items:

Middle Schoolers and Freshmen:  Desserts

Sophomores:  Appetizers

Juniors:  Tossed salads (no dressing)

Seniors:  Beverages

Federation Meet

Congratulations to Jenna Robinson for qualifying for the NYS Federation XC Championship meet on Saturaday 11/19 at Bowdoin Park in Wappingers Falls. She will race at 12:15. Good Luck Jenna!

Calling all members of the Long Red Line!

We need your help at an elementary/middle school XC meet to be held at Tawasentha Park on Tuesday, November 15th from 3:00-5:00. Approximately 200 young runners, in grades 3-6, from several local schools will be competing at a JUST RUN XC meet. We are in need of HS athletes willing to encourage and direct the runners, and "do odd jobs" . If you are available to assist us, please be at the park by 3:00. This is a great opportunity for service hours.
